The University of Ljubljana Engineering Skills training has just started! Palestinian Professors will attend a 4-days’ training on Product design, CAD/CAM/CNC, Automation and Robotics that has just statrted and will continue to 10 March 2022.
The Business and Technology Incubator BTI at the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education at the Islamic University of Gaza inaugurated REACH online work centers within the REACH project to reinforce cross-border work opportunities in Palestinian higher education institutions.
The ICT training held by Middlesex University London is a five days training each day is divided to two 3-hours sessions. The training is started at Monday 24 January 2022. The first session is about “Software Defined Networking” by Dr. Clifford Sule and the second is about “Network Security and Cyber Security” by Dr. Usama Arusi.
As part of the Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE project: Reinforcing access to cross border employment at Palestinian higher education institutions (REACH), a training workshop about “Souq Fann” online platform was organized by the Career and Alumni Affairs Unit in cooperation with Grants and International Projects Center at An-Najah National University on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
On the 20th of September 2021 the REACH Consortium virtually met with the aim of discussing the Training methodology and calendar. The European partners had previously agreed on a training calendar proposal that has been accepted by the rest of the Consortium leaving open the possibility of adjustments due to Visa timing and the pandemic.
One of the goals of the REACH project is the establishment of 5 cross border centers in Palestinian universities. These centers are equipped with the necessary equipment, have a strategic plan and provide the appropriate environment for this type of work to be used by the students for freelancing work and training.
On the 7th of September 2021 REACH EU partners (University of Alicante, Middlesex University, Guglielmo Marconi University, University of Ljubljana) held an online meeting focussed on the distribution of training modules (following list requested by Palestinian partners as a result of WP1) and the REACH Training lositics.
Prof. Dr. Nasser Farhat – President of the Islamic University of Gaza, received Dr. Nidal Al-Jayousi – Director of the Erasmus+ National Office, in the presence of Dr. Khalid Al-Hallaq, Dean of external Affairs, Dr. Hisham Madi – Deputy Dean of external Affairs, Dr. Sadiq Abdelall – REACH Project Manager, Engineer Amani Al-Maqadma – Head of the External Relations Unit, and Ms. Walaa Safi – Head of exchange projects at the university.
On Sunday 22nd August, 2021 REACH project manager Dr. Sadiq Abdelall and the team at the Islamic University of Gaza conducted an Introductory meeting of the Project with the university president, vices president and the deans.
On the 15th of June in the context of continuous monitoring of the Erasmus+ programme the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) carried out the 2nd monitoring visit to the REACH project.
As a part of Reinforcing Access to Cross Border Employment at Palestinian Higher Education Institutions [REACH] project co-funded by European Commission under Erasmus + Program, a ZOOM meeting conducted on 11th January 2021.
The meeting started according to the agenda with welcome speech by Dr. Sadiq Abdelall- REACH Coordinator.
On Wednesday, 8th April, 2021, An-Najah National University through its EU-Projects Coordinator office organized a virtual workshop titled “Needs Assessment and Benchmarking Study” within the Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE project: Reinforcing access to cross border employment at Palestinian higher education institutions-PHEIs. / REACH.
The Palestinian partner universities conducted internal focus groups to discuss the results of the questionnaire analysis, benchmarking report, modules, and topics of the assigned skill category.
The purpose of this questionnaire is to identify the soft, freelance and technical professional/specialized skills, competencies and know-how students and graduates need to obtain cross border employment in six fields: Foreign language teaching (FLT), translation, web design, graphic design, mechanical design, robots and machines programming. The questionnaire was declared at the 17th November, 2020 and closed at the 2nd December, 2020.
