The REACH project team specialized in the field of Information and Communication Technology ICT traveled to London to receive the training program at Middlesex University London, as part of Work Package3 of the project funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus + program Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education CBHE. REACH project aims to develop the capabilities of Palestinian higher education institutions to enhance the possibility of remote employment of Palestinian graduates. The team that received training in London included a group of academics specialized in the field of ICT from partner Palestinian universities.
Middlesex University London provided a training program in topics identified based on the Work Package 1 “training needs assessment”. The team will transfer the experiences gained from Middlesex University London to the graduates from Palestinian universities in the graduate training program. The training program was distributed over five days, starting on Monday, March 21, and ending on Friday, March 25, 2022. The program is scheduled to contain various topics such as software defined networks, network security, cybersecurity, virtual computing applications, cloud computing, and an explanation of how to build a story around your data and machine learning. Network management, data analytics and Visualization, and artificial intelligence.
The training program also included practical training lectures in the university laboratories, tours explaining the university’s work, especially with regard to the activities of the alumni units, and various interactive sessions on management information systems.
At the end of the training program, Dr. Sadiq Abdelall, REACH project’s manager, thanked all the trainers from Middlesex University and the university administration for their cooperation and providing the desired benefit from the visit. It was also agreed to increase cooperation in future projects.
